Today Built.io announces strong customer traction alongside major product updates to its award winning content management system (CMS) Built.io Contentstack. The new features add key enterprise capabilities to Built.io’s CMS for both web developers and business users.

Highlights for web developers include the release of a JavaScript SDK, which allows access to Built.io Contentstack’s APIs and the creation of embedded applications; enhanced data import and export; and support for Webhooks, enabling realtime integration with third party systems and applications.

Business users benefit from a reimagined publishing queue, fine-grained audit logs, a powerful rich text editor and the ability to duplicate content and site structure with a single click.

The availability of in-app support now allows all users to connect directly to Built.io’s product teams, to ask questions and to receive the fastest support.

In addition to releasing major product enhancements, Built.io Contentstack is experiencing a surge in demand, having doubled its customer base in the first half of 2015.

“Companies are beginning to realize that their website can be so much more than just a static, corporate billboard,” said Neha Sampat, CEO of Built.io. “They are looking to create engaging, connected experiences through content delivered alongside interactive applications. We’re seeing more and more companies take advantage of Built.io’s ability to integrate the latest and greatest optimization and automation tools – and in some cases even their own SaaS-based products – directly into their website.”

Customer demand has been particularly strong among technology-driven companies innovating in cloud computing and the Internet of Things. In fact, Built.io Contentstack is now adopted at VMware, Elastic, Ayla Networks, Sierra Monitor Corporation, RMS, Echelon and Cooper Lighting, among others.

“As an end-to-end platform specifically designed to address the challenges in the Internet of Things, flexibility and modularity is at the core of Ayla Networks,” said Wendy Toth, Vice President of Marketing at Ayla Networks. “When it came time to redesigning our corporate site, I immediately called the Built.io team to experience the same flexibility. As a third-time user of Built.io Contentstack, I’ve become accustomed to the ease of use and agility the platform provides. The user interface is so simple that anyone on my team can manage content, yet the integration capabilities are extensive and powerful.”

“At Elastic, we believe that great things happen when you have the right data at the right time,” said Sejal Korenromp, Director of Marketing at Elastic. “Built.io Contentstack enables just that for our website, which gets over a million monthly views. With Built.io Contentstack, we can deliver the right content with immediacy and precision. Crucially, Built.io Contentstack was able to incorporate our preferred distributed search & analytics engine, Elasticsearch – a testament to its open, extensible framework.”

Built.io now also offers mobile-ready CMS assessments for company websites to assess overall mobile readiness and provide recommendations that facilitate effective content management across web, mobile and IoT. Customer benefits include increased SEO performance and site usability for all content channels.
