Windows developers using the C# language can now write apps for Google Glass, thanks to new cross-platform development tool capabilities released by .NET support tool maker Xamarin.
Xamarin announced in a blog post that it has integrated the sneak peek of the Glass Development Kit (GDK) into its existing development tools.

“With the release of the GDK, a plethora of new applications can now be written,” wrote Xamarin developer Chris Hardy. “Better yet, you can take advantage of all of this with C# and Xamarin.Android. The secret to this is that Google Glass is behind the scenes just running Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich).”
Developers with GDK access can download the cross-platform Glassware APIs and a sample app from Xamarin’s component store for free to write software for Glass in C#.
