Opera Software and Qualcomm have announced that they are pre-integrating the Opera Mobile 10 and Opera Mini 5 browsers with Qualcomm’s Brew mobile platform.

Objectivity is offering its Objectivity/DB Data Store for the Eclipse Connected Data Objects Model Repository. The Objectivity/DB Data Store gives Eclipse users pluggable access to their NoSQL data solution with less effort and development time. The plug-in is distributed through Eclipse.org.

Microsoft is offering a new SQL Server Reporting Services SDK for PHP, allowing PHP applications to interoperate with Microsoft’s SQL Server Reporting Services. Developers can create applications that run on top of SQL Server Reporting Services using its business intelligence and reporting capabilities. The SDK is hosted on the CodePlex repository.

MicroStrategy is building a mobile application development platform focused on the iPhone. The company says that MicroStrategy Mobile for iPhone will reduce the time to develop new iPhone apps, thanks to included infrastructure; will make it easy for non-developers to create iPhone apps without using any coding; and make it easier to deploy apps using the MicroStrategy’s own delivery platform.

Dundas Data Visualization is offering a beta of a next-generation platform for creating digital dashboards. Dundas Dashboard 2.0 adds OLAP capabilities for organizations using a Microsoft OLAP data warehouse; direct integration with Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010; complete customization using a new open API; and a system called DashFlow that lets developers create dashboards without connecting to an actual database. This last feature is designed for DBAs who are working on proof-of-concept projects.

ComponentOne has updated its suite of custom controls for Windows, Web and mobile applications. ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2010 has a new application framework, called A2, for ASAP.NET AJAX applications; is designed to work with AJAX 4.0 and Visual Studio 2010; and offers a GridView with asynchronous paging and sorting, a TreeView with drag-and-drop nodes, and many other highly interactive controls. The US$1,300 per seat suite also has updates to its iPhone, Silverlight and other components.

Attunity has updated its change data capture (CDC) and operational data replication software with support for Microsoft’s SQL Server 2008 R2. Attunity SQL Server-CDC for SSIS supports log-based CDC for SQL Server 2008/2005/2000, with no installation on the data server; supports data replication into many heterogeneous target databases; is integrated with Microsoft’s SQL Server Integration Services and Business Intelligence Development Studio; and provides a management console to monitor and control end-to-end heterogeneous replication.

The latest version of Axosoft’s project-management software adds a Scrum Planning Board designed to help team members visualize, review and manage backlog items. Also new to OnTime 10 is a plug-in to let teams access the TortoiseSVN Subversion client from within the project management system; automatic replies are sent to cc or bcc addresses copied on e-mails sent to the OnTime server. There’s also a security-role permission for the end-user dashboard, as well as more flexible Work Log data entry forms.
