RadiumOne, today announced Photo Effects, its new and free mobile tool that enables app developers to customize and white-label the photo sharing and effects functionality in their apps. In addition to free customization and white labeling, Photo Effects enables app developers to keep 100 percent of the revenue generated from premium in-app purchases and mobile advertising.

According to recent research, in-app purchase revenue for developers has hit a record high of 76% of all U.S. iPhone app revenue and the numbers soar even higher to 90% in Asia. RadiumOne’s Photo Effects tool for iOS and Android apps has already received interest from a number of popular mobile app developers.

“One of the key priorities for RadiumOne in 2013 is to invest in building innovative mobile products and tools for app developers and brands,” said Gurbaksh Chahal, CEO at RadiumOne. “Developing value-added mobile tools for app developers is a vital component of this mobile strategy, and Photo Effects is the first of several mobile tools we’ll be launching this year.”

Coupled with this news, RadiumOne has also launched a showcase app called Photo Effects for developers to see the functionality first hand. They can also find the Photo Effects tool integrated into popular apps like Voto, FriendCaster and Trendyful. Through these types of partnerships, Photo Effects already reaches 20+ million active users with a number of additional apps ready to integrate and launch the Photo Effects tool in the coming weeks.

“RadiumOne’s Photo Effects tool has been a great addition to our app,” said Scott Paul, Founder of Voto. “We’re surprised how easy it was to integrate and excited to see the boost in engagement.”

Popular apps like Path and Line have reported a staggering adoption of photo effects features like the ability to add stickers onto photographs. Stickers are becoming so popular with consumers that even Facebook has recently introduced its new Sticker Store.

Brands like popchips, Gap and Universal Films are beginning to take notice of this sticker trend and are eager to find seamless ways to integrate their brand into social content. Photo Effects is uniquely positioned to enable brands to connect their branded sticker packs with social consumers across a network of photo sharing apps.

“We always look for new, fun and engaging ways to naturally connect our brand with consumers’ social content,” said Michael Parisi, Senior Vice President of popchips. “We’re thrilled to be a part of this unique social experience; and we look forward to gaining insights that we can leverage in future digital marketing efforts.”

RadiumOne’s Photo Effects includes photo filters, borders, scenes, stickers and text effects that can be customized and seamlessly integrated into mobile applications in minutes. The filters and effects were created by professional photographers and graphic designers to ensure the highest quality experience for users. Each feature can be tailored to a specific app audience, and the server-driven effects library enables developers to publish their own effects without forcing users to download any updates.

Evan Conway, president of OneLouder (now a division of Sprint) said, “RadiumOne’s Photo Effects is a great addition that boosts our in app engagement, was simple to implement, and is a natural addition to our UI.”

To encourage app developers to test out Photo Effects, RadiumOne is offering new apps 100 percent of the revenue for the first three months and has a revenue split after that trial that is unmatched by industry standards. These monetization opportunities are optional, but if leveraged, they provide app developers a simple way to generate revenue without getting locked into a lengthy service plan or complicated revenue share agreements.
