SAP AG today unveiled its plans for SAP HANA Cloud, a next-generation cloud platform based on breakthrough in-memory technology. As part of SAP HANA Cloud, the company also announced the general availability of SAP NetWeaver Cloud, an open standards-based application service, and SAP HANA One, a deployment of SAP HANA certified for production use on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud, as the first offerings based on SAP HANA Cloud. The announcement was made at SAP TechEd 2012, being held October 16-19 in Las Vegas.

SAP HANA Cloud is planned to include several key offerings:
• SAP HANA AppServices in SAP HANA Cloud is a service that aims to allow developers to create next-generation applications using native SAP HANA, Java and other rapid-development services. A robust set of shared services are planned to provide comprehensive support for portals, integration, mobile, analytics, collaboration and commercial services beside unified cloud enablement and life-cycle management.

Customers and Partners Use SAP NetWeaver Cloud to Build Innovative Applications Today
Using the open standards-based platform, SAP customers and partners are now building impactful applications  across a wide range of industries and use cases. Using the SAP NetWeaver Cloud portal, line-of-business users can create attractive external or internal sites and bring together social, unstructured and structured content with minimal IT involvement. Business users can deliver innovation, collaboration and agility in a secure, scalable and transparent manner.

“At Phoqus, we are excited about the opportunity to deliver breakthrough, cloud-based solutions for the healthcare industry on top of the SAP NetWeaver Cloud platform,” said John Koole, managing director, Phoqus. “The platform has sophisticated user interface and portal capabilities coupled with native integration with back-end enterprise resource planning systems.
