Parasoft announces the release of the process intelligence engine (PIE), a first-of-its kind solution that identifies software business risks while highlighting opportunities for SDLC process improvement. On Friday, March 14 (International Pi Day), Parasoft will host a webinar to demonstrate how PIE prevents software risks and accelerates the software release cycle.

Time: 1pm – 2pm EDT

The brain of the Parasoft Development Testing Platform, PIE analyzes data from disparate parts of the software development infrastructure and identifies risks and opportunities for improvement based on the organization’s priorities.

“Process control throughout the software supply chain requires the ability to observe and synthesize data across systems, analysis techniques, and testing practices,” stated Wayne Ariola, Chief Strategy Officer of Parasoft. “Siloed or one-off reports generated by single systems will usually provide a small fraction of the process story. Ultimately, the aggregation and intelligent analysis of the data generated from various sub-systems will deliver suggestions for optimizing the process as well as mitigating risks. You really need an analytics engine to accomplish this—humans can observe this array of data, but cannot consistently identify complex patterns.”

As the central system of decision for SDLC quality, Parasoft PIE readily manages multiple data inputs from various infrastructure sources. The collection of raw observations across systems is the first step in transforming compartmentalized data points into process intelligence. The second step is the ability to process raw observations through correlation, advanced analysis, and the application of patterns. Finally, observations are filtered based on the organization’s policies to more accurately pinpoint findings that represent the highest risks associated with a specific stage of the SDLC.
