Sencha, the company providing a unified platform for designing, developing, deploying and managing mobile web applications, and Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it is working with Oracle to meet the growing enterprise demand for such applications. Sencha Web Application Lifecycle Management Platform can now interoperate with Oracle Mobile Cloud Service to help deliver mission-critical HTML5 mobile web applications to mutual enterprise customers, easier and faster.

“With nearly a decade-long commitment to web technologies, Sencha is a leader in delivering comprehensive and widely-used HTML5 frameworks for building and managing feature-rich mobile web applications,” said Art Landro, CEO of Sencha. “Enterprise mobile web developers can now quickly develop and deploy HTML5-powered mobile applications across smartphones and tablets that easily connect to Oracle Mobile Cloud Service, regardless of OS or browser.”

The promise of web applications is that line-of-business managers and IT departments can cost-effectively design, develop and deploy mission-critical applications across all devices and platforms from one code base. The Sencha Web Application Lifecycle Management Platform uses the power of modern web technology to empower enterprises to design, develop, deploy and manage mobile web applications that deliver the right end user experience on the right screen at the right time. By connecting Sencha’s Platform to Oracle Mobile Cloud Service, enterprises can easily tie their front end mobile web applications with Oracle’s comprehensive back end mobile cloud service including enterprise security, push notifications, authentication, data storage, diagnostics, and analytics.

“Enterprise customers are looking for the best solutions for their developers to build applications that scale across mobile devices,” said Chris Tonas, vice president, Mobility and Development Tools, Oracle. “We are pleased to be working with Sencha, and providing more choice to our mutual customers, enabling them to deliver robust mobile web applications.”

Enterprises are now tasked with delivering applications for every work device and screen, including smartphones, tablets, laptops and desktops. According to a recent Sencha commissioned Forrester Consulting study, “The Rise of Web Technology,” 63 percent of the enterprises surveyed report that HTML5 web technology is critical to their web and mobile application approaches. The survey also found a 27 percent shift away from native development to HTML5 web technology. Companies are increasingly selecting web technology over native to improve development efficiency and “do more with less” by building apps with greater sophistication and complexity in the same amount of time.

Sencha will be onsite at Oracle OpenWorld 2015 at the Oracle Mobile Technology and Partners Showcase, booth #2207, October 25-29, 2015, to showcase its products.
