Centrify Corporation, the leader in Unified Identity Services across data center, cloud and mobile, today launched the Centrify Developer Site for easy and direct access to Centrify’s software development kits (SDKs), giving enterprise application developers and ISVs the resources and support needed for seamless integration of Centrify’s identity management into their cloud, mobile and datacenter applications and systems. The Centrify Developer Site also serves as a hub for newly introduced and updated SDKs, technical resources on integration, code samples, interaction with Centrify Developers and the developer community, and more.
Centrify also today introduced Centrify SDK v2.0, which extends the “Zero Sign-on” login experience for users accessing native mobile applications on Android and iOS mobile platforms.
“Centrify is a great choice for Memeo C1 customers wanting Single Sign-on and Active Directory integration,” said Matt Tonkin, Memeo Inc. director of product management. “The Centrify SDKs for iOS and Android made it easy for our engineers to integrate Centrify with the Memeo C1 mobile applications and get Zero Sign-on for Samsung KNOX. Centrify is simply the best authentication method we have as the user literally just needs to launch the app. The new Centrify site is a welcome addition for central access to SDKs, documentation, samples and many more resources.”
With the new Centrify Developer Site, enterprise developers of cloud, mobile and SaaS-based applications now have access to a variety of Centrify User Suite SDKs, including the Mobile Authentication Services (MAS) SDK to integrate mobile applications with Active Directory and deliver Zero Sign-on authentication for mobile applications. In addition, the Centrify User Suite SaaS SDK is now available via the Centrify Developer Site for developers and cloud service vendors to integrate their cloud applications with Active Directory to authenticate enterprise users and deliver Single Sign-on (SSO) when accessing SaaS applications.
“Centrify makes Hall’s business messaging experience even better,” said Brett Hellman, Hall Inc. founder & CEO. “Our customers had been asking for Single Sign-on functionality to be added to Hall’s enterprise offering. Centrify’s SDK enabled us to provide our users with a secure and seamless Single Sign-on experience without compromises to security or performance. With Centrify’s new site, we will now be able to find documentation, samples, and libraries all in one single location.”
The new Centrify Developer Site also enables enterprise application developers to have access to a variety of Centrify Server Suite SDKs, including the Centrify DirectManage Access SDK, which enables manufacturers of storage systems, network devices and other IT infrastructure components to “Active Directory enable” their solutions to strengthen security and enhance manageability for their customers. The DirectManage SDK allows both in-house and commercial identity management and provisioning solutions to programmatically manage, administer, and provision identity and rights control information that Centrify DirectManage stores within Active Directory. In addition, the Centrify Server Suite DirectAudit SDK enables writing scripts to perform database rotation and attach or detach databases automatically. By integrating Centrify Server Suite SDKs, enterprise software and hardware companies have been able to focus development efforts around their core competencies and accelerated their time to market by reduced engineering and QA costs around identity management challenges.
“The launch of SDK v2.0 and the Centrify Developer Site greatly simplifies the ability for developers to integrate enterprise-grade authentication into mobile and cloud based applications,” said David McNeely, Centrify senior director of product management. “Centrify’s Zero Sign-on simplifies the login experience and removes the need for enterprise users to enter username and password on the small form factor, improving the overall user experience. With Centrify SDK v2.0, our focus is to simplify the ability to add enterprise-grade authentication with native login screens and one-time authentication for multiple native mobile applications.”
Additionally, the new Centrify SDK v2.0 now extends Zero Sign-on for native mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms. Newly available via Google Play and Apple Appstore, the Centrify application provides Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) capabilities, as well as SSO functionality, for today’s most popular mobile platforms. Any native mobile application integrated with the Centrify SDK v2.0 can now take advantage of Zero Sign-on so enterprise users of these applications can skip entering credentials and more easily access authorized applications. Centrify’s SDK v2.0 also includes pre-built login screens which eliminate the need to build custom login screens for mobile applications and provides a simple and consistent login interface.
Centrify invites mobile application developers and qualified SaaS and mobile companies to explore how they can jointly work with Centrify to develop integrated mobile and cloud solutions and expand their businesses. In addition to SDKs, this new site is a valuable resource for case studies, tutorials, best practices, and code samples for developers to easily integrate.
