Created by the aforementioned Adrian Sampson, Beets is a media library-management system for obsessive-compulsive music geeks. Beets is designed to get your music collection right once and for all, cataloging your collection, automatically improving its metadata as it goes. It then provides a collection of tools for manipulating and accessing your music.
#3: Shimmer
From the minds of Facebook comes an easy way to add a simple shimmering effect to any view in an iOS app, which is particularly useful as an unobtrusive loading indicator. Shimmer was originally developed to show loading statuses in Facebook’s Paper app. Shimmer uses Core Animation’s timing features to smoothly transition in line with the animation frame rate when starting and stopping the shimmer.
