BZ Media LLC today announced its opening keynote at Big Data TechCon, the how-to technical conference for IT professionals implementing Big Data. Gloria Lau, manager of data science at LinkedIn, will keynote on “Building Data Products: The Right Order of Things.” The three-day conference, October 27 – 29, will feature the keynote at 11:45 am on Tuesday, October 28, and will cover how to maximize data science and business impact with limited resources.
Lau will also co-host the “Women in Big Data Networking Luncheon” with Bianca Gandolfo, chapter leader for Girl Develop It San Francisco and San Francisco Evangelist for Women Who Code. This special event is a great opportunity for women attendees to connect with peers at the show.
The fourth Big Data TechCon also features over 55 classes and tutorials, including full-day tutorials “Hands-on Intro to Apache Spark” and “Hadoop: A One-Day, Hands-on Crash Course.” In addition to dozens of sessions on Apache Spark, Hadoop and YARN, Big Data TechCon offers tutorials and classes on data analysis, data visualization, NoSQL, graph databases, real-world use cases and more. All of the sessions are taught by top Big Data experts from companies such as eBay, GE, Google, Twitter.
