Accusoft Pegasus, the leading provider of imaging software development kits (SDKs) and viewers, releases ImageGear Professional v17 for Windows DLL, including full-page OCR support and support for searchable compressed PDF creation.

With ImageGear Professional v17, applications can perform OCR, create smaller searchable PDF files from scanned document images, and automatically compress individual regions of a page to produce an optimized, searchable PDF. This new version of the ImageGear Professional DLL edition includes full-page OCR support for over 120 languages including Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean languages.
Using Accusoft Pegasus’ patent pending technology, developers can take advantage of JPEG 2000 decompression speeds up to 40% faster than in previous ImageGear Professional versions.
Additional updates to ImageGear Professional include new Camera RAW file support library, updated PDF library support and an updates to the DICOM Data Dictionary to reflect the 2009 standard. This release also provides significant enhancements to product documentation and samples to make getting started easier than ever before.
