#1: Light Table
Light Table is a new interactive IDE that lets you modify running programs and embed anything from websites to games with real-time feedback. This reactive work surface started in 2012 as a Kickstarter campaign, now with stable releases on OS X, Windows and Linux.

#2: CodeCombat
This multiplayer programming game for learning how to code is both a startup and a community project, the largest open-source project written in CoffeeScript. Learn coding level-by-level while battling knights, wizards, ogres and more in a fantasy realm. There’s also an editor to construct maps, build scripts and configure units. Give CodeCombat a try.

#3: Alpaca
Tired of maintaining API libraries in different languages for your website API? Pavan Kumar Sunkara gives you Alpaca, which takes a given Web API and generates client libraries in Node, PHP, Python and Ruby. Define your API according to Alpaca’s format, and it builds the API libraries along with their documentation. All you have to do is publish them to their respective package managers.

#4: Hover
A collection of CSS3-powered hover effects compiled by Ian Lunn, Hover’s effects can be applied to call to actions, buttons, logos and featured images. Available in CSS and SASS, the effects can be easily applied to your own elements, modified, or just used for inspiration.

#5: Colors
This project, created by Adam Morse, is a simple color palette for the Web. It provides a set of SASS variables and CSS classes to bring color palettes out of the box, with a selection of new defaults to spruce up a Web page.
