#1: Popcorn Time
We talked about this instant torrent-streaming app last week, but after legal and copyright issues forced the original CSS project into an early grave, the Popcorn Time Team revived it in JavaScript. Long live free media content!

#2: Gremlins.js
Gremlins.js is a monkey-testing library written in JavaScript for Node.js and the browser. Monkey testing is a common mobile app development technique used to check the robustness of Web applications, used here by unleashing a horde of undisciplined gremlins. Created by Marmelab, it simulates random user actions as gremlins click anywhere in the window, enter random data in forms, or move the mouse over elements that aren’t expected to trigger JavaScript errors.

#3: Popcorn Time
Even though the original Popcorn Time bit the dust, the original project was so popular that it still sits in the third most popular spot of the week.

#4: Brick
In an age where faster loading speeds have compressed fonts and decreased the quality of rendered type, Alfred Xing has created Web fonts that actually look good. Brick’s fonts are clones of the original, converted without modification to several formats for wider browser compatibility. While still compressed, there’s no hit on quality.

#5: 2048 was also featured last week. This addictive Sudoku-like numbers game may be sticking around the Top 5 for a while.
