Mainsoft released yesterday a cross-platform suite of enterprise collaboration products designed to boost user adoption of Microsoft SharePoint as well as Google Docs. The suite brings document-sharing, collaboration and social-networking capabilities to e-mail.
Mainsoft displayed the technology at SPTechCon, held in late October in Boston. Citing a study that showed 83% of businesses still play e-mail “ping-pong” with document attachments, Mainsoft offered attendees the opportunity to try out harmon.ie, and all found that using the product saved them time with managing documents.
The new harmon.ie enterprise suite includes components for Microsoft Office, Outlook and SharePoint, as well as IBM’s Lotus and Google Docs.
