Metalogix Software, the trusted provider of content lifecycle management  solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and Cloud platforms, today announced the integration of Migration Manager for SharePoint – File Share Edition and StoragePoint for organizations to consolidate file share content into SharePoint with high speed and high fidelity.

The integrated product suite features the new versions of Migration Manager for SharePoint and StoragePoint. Migration Manager for SharePoint is now StoragePoint-aware, creating a solution with improved performance that has proven in beta testing to be 38 percent faster than using only Migration Manager for SharePoint and up to 600 percent faster than using only Migration Manager for SharePoint – File Share Edition. Organizations can add or modify metadata, adjust permissions and change the folder structure.

StoragePoint allows organizations to quickly link file shares with SharePoint without actually moving the files. Once linked, the file share data can be accessed directly through SharePoint to take advantage of the platform’s features, such as permissions, workflows, search and metadata.

Migration Manager for SharePoint – File Share Edition has powerful features that allow administrators to easily analyze and identify important aspects of existing content. This provides administrators with the ability to make well-informed decisions about how and where content should be moved into SharePoint. When both products are installed, the side-loading feature allows administrators to bypass SQL and load BLOBs directly to endpoints.

“Because organizations with SharePoint deployment often have terabytes, or even petabytes, of unmanaged file share content, Metalogix recognizes the importance of consolidating this content with high speed and high fidelity into SharePoint,” said Steven Murphy, CEO, Metalogix. “With the combination of Migration Manager for SharePoint – File Share Edition and StoragePoint, we have created a powerful, integrated solution for organizations to maximize their file share content and enhance the use and performance of their SharePoint platform.”
