Axceler, the leader in Microsoft SharePoint governance, administration and migration solutions, today announced that it has expanded its management team to respond to rapidly accelerating company growth which is driven by the strong interest in its collaboration and social business governance solutions.

The company which has just completed its 12th consecutive quarter of record breaking growth has signed over 500 new customers to date in 2012. This brings the total to more than 2,700 organizations worldwide using Axceler solutions to govern their SharePoint environments. Axceler’s SharePoint product line experienced a 5,350% growth rate from 2008. In April, the company was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in Massachusetts when it was named a 2012 Pacesetter by the Boston Business Journal.

With over 20 years in the industry, John Puopolo has extensive software experience building and leading engineering teams to deliver high-quality products to enterprise and consumer markets. Puopolo comes to Axceler from RapidBuyr, LLC where he was hired as the start-up’s CTO to create their technical vision and build the company’s engineering team, R&D and IT infrastructures. He built his teams and within four months released their first commercial system. Prior to RapidBuyr, Puopolo had success as the Vice President of Engineering for Searchandise Commerce, Inc. and the head of Engineering at a number of global software firms including Tele Atlas (acquired by TomTom), FAST (acquired by Microsoft) and Lavastorm. Puopolo holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Lowell. He currently teaches computer programming at the University of Massachusetts and previously taught at Northeastern University for ten years.

Claudine Bianchi brings to Axceler more than 20 years’ experience in technology marketing. Most recently, she was Vice President of Marketing at Avid Technology, the leader in video and audio editing technology, and was CMO of NaviSite as they transformed from a managed services provider to one of the leaders in cloud computing culminating in an acquisition by Time Warner Cable. Prior to NaviSite, she led marketing at MetaCarta, a pioneer in the geo-web space, which was acquired by Nokia. Bianchi was also Vice President of Marketing at eCopy, a leader in document distribution and enterprise content management solutions which was acquired by Nuance. Before eCopy, she spent five years as Director of Marketing at Forrester Research playing an instrumental role in establishing the Forrester brand as a leader in the technology research industry. Earlier in her career, she held a variety of marketing positions in numerous startups including Viewlogic Systems, Concentric Data, and JetForm. Bianchi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Dartmouth College.
