Windows became Windows as a Service with the release of Windows 10, meaning the company will constantly release updates and improvements to the operating system. The only problem is the company won’t be giving users details about those updates and improvements, except under certain circumstances. The Register reported that the company has no plans to provide release notes about the updates unless they are significant.
When asked about the company’s latest Windows 10 update, Microsoft said that it included “improvements to enhance the functionality of Windows 10.”

In addition, a spokesperson told the Register: “As we have done in the past, we post [Knowledge Base] articles relevant to most updates, which we’ll deliver with Windows as a service. Depending on the significance of the update and if it is bringing new functionality to Windows customers, we may choose to do additional promotion of new features as we deploy them.”
