Way back on June 29, 2006, MySQL bug #20786 was opened by Erik Kay. This bug causes some headaches for people trying to dump their schema when they have an autoincrement column and try to do a mysqldump with the –no-data flag.
It’s an edge case, but one that has no doubt caused countless developers to have to go through their schema dumps by hand.
Well, tomorrow marks the seventh anniversary of this bug’s filing. And to celebrate, one user baked the bug a birthday cake.
