BZ Media LLC today announced its opening keynote at AnDevCon San Francisco, the Android Developer Conference, “What’s New in Android” with Chet Haase, lead of the Android UI Toolkit team at Google, and Reto Meier, lead of the Scalable Developer Advocacy team at Google. The four-day conference, November 18 – 21, will feature the keynote at 8:45 am on Wednesday, November 18. The keynote will highlight Android L Developer Preview’s latest features and functionalities.

Haase will also teach a class on Android L’s Material Design, “Material Witness: How Android Materials Applications Work,” with fellow Googler Romain Guy. AnDevCon San Francisco will also feature over a dozen tutorials and technical classes on other updates in Android’s newest iteration, including “App Indexing: Blurring the Lines Between Your Website and App” and “The L Task Manager.”

Additionally, AnDevCon will have its staple special event, the Fireside Chats. This year’s event, titled “Develop and Design for L,” will feature a panel of Google Developer Experts. They will discuss the most important changes in Android L and how a developer can best take advantage of them in their apps.

“With the announcement of the Android L Developer Preview at Google I/O this year, we are excited to offer an opportunity for Android developers to put the latest features into practice at AnDevCon, and to learn from the people at Google who developed them,” said Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media.

This is the eighth AnDevCon and features over 80 classes and tutorials dedicated to Android development. Topics range from Embedded Android to business-centric classes and developer essentials. AnDevCon also has the support of over 30 industry-leading exhibitors, including Intel as its Diamond Sponsor, Google, Amazon, Nokia and PayPal.
