AvePoint, which from its founding in 2001 has grown into an enterprise-class governance and infrastructure-management solutions provider, again is the diamond sponsor of SPTechCon, from March 3-6, 2013, in San Francisco. This will mark the seventh consecutive SPTechCon conference at which AvePoint has been the diamond sponsor.
“We are thrilled to have AvePoint again returning as the conference’s diamond sponsor,” said David Rubinstein, chairman of SPTechCon. “As one of the most important, influential companies in the SharePoint sphere, AvePoint’s presence at SPTechCon gives attendees the opportunity to hear from the company’s thought leaders and SharePoint experts about implementing, governing and maintaining their deployments. They have been a great partner over the years, and we look forward to a continued excellent partnership.”
“It’s our mission at AvePoint to make sure that we are not just providing high-quality products, solutions, and services, but also education and best practices necessary to help organizations enable enterprise collaboration with confidence using the Microsoft SharePoint platform,” said Heather Newman, senior VP of global marketing for AvePoint. “As part of that mission, it also means supporting and sponsoring events that help further this initiative as well, and we believe that SPTechCon is a fantastic event where the SharePoint community can come together, network with peers, and learn the latest tips, tricks, and available products from renowned Microsoft experts to help them realize SharePoint success. With this in mind, that’s why AvePoint has been sponsor of this show now for seven consecutive years.”
As diamond sponsor, AvePoint again will present a keynote session at SPTechCon. At SPTechCon Boston earlier this year, AvePoint’s Jeremy Thake and Mary Leigh Mackie delivered a very well-received talk on providing SharePoint as a service within an organization, striking a balance between top-down control of SharePoint and trusting users to do the right thing. This results in a distributed management method that complies with agreed-upon policies set by an organization’s governance committees.
AvePoint is perhaps best known for its DocAve governance-automation software, which includes a new analytics solution for monitoring and reporting on SharePoint site usage. This enables organizations to make better decisions as issues pertaining to site management arise. Other features of DocAve, now at version 6, address migration, backup and restore, content and deployment, connections, and administration, among others.
