AvePoint this week announced it will support Microsoft Office 365, which includes SharePoint Online, in its DocAve software platform. DocAve, the company said, enables migration to online SharePoint environments, accommodating content from different sources as well as management of on-premise and cloud SharePoint environments through a single software platform.

“Microsoft Office 365 has the potential to fundamentally change the way organizations utilize cloud computing to manage their business processes, knowledge workers and enterprise-wide information in today’s extremely competitive business landscape,” said George Petrou, AvePoint’s vice president of product management, in a statement. “AvePoint has worked closely with many organizations wishing to maintain current on-premise SharePoint deployments and incrementally add data and content to SharePoint Online as business permits.”

DocAve supports migration to SharePoint Online from previous versions of SharePoint, as well as  platforms such as Lotus Notes and EMC Documentum. The DocAve Hybrid Management solution will fully support Office 365 upon its release.
