The Linker was fortunate enough to see Jerry Lewis perform live at the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University in the 1990s, and he was all you’d expect: goofy faces, odd noises, and a pratfall or two as he presented a retrospective of his career. You can imagine The Linker’s sadness when the annual Labor Day Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon was shortened from a live, 24-hour marathon event to six hours, and no Jerry! The organization treated him shabbily, and he deserves better after all he did for MDA. The Linker doffs his cap to Mr. Lewis, and thanks him for his years of tireless work to help raise funds to find a cure for neuromuscular diseases.
