#1: Riot.js
A fast, powerful, client-side MVP framework for building large-scale Web apps, Riot weighs in at a size of only 1KB. This Moot Inc creation packs a template engine, router, event library and strict MVP pattern into its tiny package—a faster, simpler, smaller way to subvert everything you think you know about frameworks.

#2: Presto
This distributed SQL query engine for Big Data is a powerhouse tool of arguably the largest social data-mining organization out there: Facebook. The open-source engine runs interactive analytic queries against sources ranging in size from gigabytes to petabytes that finish in seconds and minutes. More than 1,000 Facebook employees use Presto daily to run more than 30,000 queries scanning a total of more than a petabyte per day.

#3: Formatter.js
Formatter, a firstopinion creation, formats user input to match a specified pattern. Where existing libraries may lack proper functionality and flexibility, Formatter was built with no dependencies, and it formats user input as they type. There’s also a jQuery wrapper version for quick use.

#4: Free Bootstrap UI Kits
The altruistic folks at PixelKit have made available a selection of free UI kits for any developer looking to build a functional website that also happens to look cool. The Dark Velvet, Vanilla Cream, Metro Vibes and Modern Touch themes all come will full UI kits complete with demos, documentation and premium versions with additional elements.
