MetaVis Technologies, a leader in information management solutions for Microsoft SharePoint and Cloud platforms, announced expanded support for SkyDrive Pro and Office 365 SharePoint Migration. The MetaVis SharePoint migration platform now allows customers to quickly and easily bulk migrate content stored in enterprise Google Drive accounts to SkyDrive Pro used for an Office 365 tenancy.
“With the proliferation of cloud based storage, file share, and sync options such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, etc, our customers are consolidating their content into one centrally managed location with Office365 SharePoint and SkyDrive Pro,” said Peter Senescu, President and Co-founder of MetaVis Technologies. “To meet this demand, we are pleased to support Google to SkyDrive Pro in Office 365 migrations.  As customer content needs evolve, the MetaVis team is constantly enhancing our core software to help customers better manage and organize their content.”
MetaVis now allows customers to discover existing Google Drives and SkyDrive Pro accounts, copy content, convert Google documents to Microsoft Office formats, copy versions and metadata, as well as maintain permissions and sharing options for multiple Google Drives using a simple interactive Wizard. This new functionality is included in the MetaVis Architect Suite, an easy-to-use tool that provides the ability to visualize and design SharePoint taxonomies; migrate content and metadata; classify content; and manage SharePoint information architectures.
With the MetaVis Architect Suite customers can migrate File Shares, Google Drive, Exchange Public folder or SharePoint content to SharePoint 2013, SharePoint Online or another hosted SharePoint solution. The suite also includes pre-migration assessments to help identify potential issues before customers start migrating content and user permissions ensuring that security is maintained throughout SharePoint or Office 365.
