Developers and IT professionals focused on Apple’s mobile platforms can look forward to the second iPhone/iPad DevCon, scheduled for April 4–6 in Cambridge, Mass.

iPhone/iPad DevCon is owned and produced by BZ Media, which publishes SD Times. BZ Media also produces AnDevCon, a conference focused on Android development.

The first iPhone/iPad DevCon was held in the San Francisco Bay Area in fall 2010. The second conference adds additional classes to the three-day event, and it increases the focus on applications management for Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.

Keynotes at the event include Mike Lee, “The World’s Toughest Programmer”—who also keynoted the previous iPhone/iPad DevCon—and Michael Simmons, cofounder and CEO of Flexibits. Lee will discuss “Product Engineering the Mariachi Way,” while Simmons will help attendees reexamine their mobile app requirements to better suit the needs of end users.

More than 50 technical classes and workshop will be offered at iPhone/iPad DevCon, covering platform architecture, applications development, apps marketing and enterprise management of Apple’s mobile devices. More information is available at www.iphonedevcon.com.
