On the heels of news that Microsoft is testing a prototype eyewear device similar to Google Glass, it looks like Samsung has wearable computing glasses in the works as well.

The Wall Street Journal discovered a Korean design patent filed this month categorized as “sports glasses.” The picture below, from the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service, shows one glaring difference between this device and Google Glass: an attached USB.
According to an attached memo from the patent filing, Samsung describes the device as “a type [of glasses] with earphones integrated, allowing [users] to take phone calls and listen to music during workouts.” The memo also says the device is linked to a smartphone via the USB, and displays alerts for information running on he phone.
