If you’re booked on JetBlue for a Northeast flight to Las Vegas for CES 2014 this week, make other travel plans.
All JetBlue flights from JFK, LaGuardia, Newark’s and Boston’s airports have been cancelled due to major backlogs caused by last week’s winter storm.
More than 3,000 flights have been canceled nationwide, and approximately 300 are JetBlue flights. JetBlue is waiving flight change and cancellation fees for affected customers.
“Delays and cancellations during this week’s winter storm placed planes and crews away from their previously scheduled routes,” a statement on the airline’s website reads. “While our team has been working to repair schedules by bringing crews and planes back ‘into position’ and resume normal operations, further cancellations are still occurring as crews exceed their allowed duty times.”
The airline intends to be fully operational by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a blog post. But JetBlue customers headed to CES have reported flight delays until as late as Friday.
