CyberDefender Corporation (Nasdaq:CYDE), a provider of Internet security software, utilities and remote technical support services that work together to maximize online safety for consumers, today announced that Igor Barash has been named Chief Operating Officer, effective December 31, 2010. Mr. Barash was previously CyberDefender’s Chief Information Officer and is also a co-founder of the Company.
To better streamline its corporate structure and to realize additional company efficiencies, CyberDefender also announced that it has eliminated the position of Chief Revenue Officer.

Mr. Barash, 40, co-founded CyberDefender in 2003 with Chief Executive Officer Gary Guseinov and during his tenure he has served both as Chief Product Officer and Chief Information Officer. In these capacities Mr. Barash has directed the development and successful market introduction of many of CyberDefender’s leading Internet security products and services. Additionally, he has provided strategic leadership critical to the development of the Company’s technology infrastructure.
