IBackup has added the ability to back up information from Microsoft SharePoint Server installations.

IBackup for Windows now provides users with the ability to back up SharePoint data, such as site collections, sites within a collection, and lists or document libraries, to their IBackup account. The online backup piece, which provides e-mail notifications, advanced scheduling options, and encryption and compression of data, can be configured through the graphical interface.

On the restore side, the tool can restore objects directly from a backup, eliminating the need for a SharePoint recovery farm. It also can search for and restore specific versions of documents, as well as restore site collections and individual sites, lists, ASPX pages and more.

“The ability to add Microsoft SharePoint Server backup capability was important to address online backup needs for small to medium-sized enterprises, many of whom have had to rely on multiple services to do their regular file backups and database backups,” said Raghu Kulkarni, CEO of Pro Softnet. “But with IBackup’s Microsoft SharePoint Server backup option, they now have a one-stop option to do their online backups for the entire spectrum of data.”
