With a shift to a new JavaScript method of implementation, SearchUnit is now fully compatible with other platforms and technologies such as MVC, Razor, HTML, ASP, jQuery as well as Web Forms. Adding search to your web application is as simple as indexing your documents, adding a JS & CSS tag to your page and adding the search box.

Additional improvements include; a new AJAX based user interface which enables search results to be displayed within the same page, custom data filter controls with sorting and a new search cloud control to display recent and popular search terms.
Supported Data Sources
Index data from a wide variety of documents using a number of integrated indexing tools such as the Windows based Index Manager, Web Administration application or programmatically.

- Web-sites and web applications: from a single webpage, to a full website.
- Databases: MSSQL, OLE, Oracle and custom datasets.
- File System: index documents located on the file system.

Multiple Document Formats
SearchUnit will index and search the full-text of most documents including;

Content & Location Categories
Indexed documents can be assigned to categories, allowing search users to locate the information they need faster. Restrict users to specific locations or provide multiple content categories to be searched.
Spelling Suggestions
When a search term is misspelled, SearchUnit can provide ‘did-you-mean?’ spelling suggestions. A built-in custom dictionary allows you to add your own suggestions such as; organization acronyms, jargon and names.
