HTML5 is breathing new life into web applications, making it easier for developers to accomplish almost anything. While HTML5 apps are gaining popularity, development scenarios are getting more complex. With the latest release of Telerik Kendo UI suite, developers are armed with the resources they need to address data integration challenges presented by enterprise big data, within the application development process.
New Data Management Widgets: Telerik is introducing two new data management widgets: TreeList, which combines grid and tree view features into one widget with load-on-demand and data editing capabilities; and the general availability of PivotGrid, the powerful data vizualization component that enables developers to perform operations over multidimensional/pivot data.
Online/Offline Support: Telerik is releasing a new feature to the DataSource component, allowing apps to work in offline mode by storing data locally. Even when the connection stops, the application continues working and synchronizes changes immediately, once the connection is resumed.
Data On-the-Go: With the newest release of Kendo UI suite, Telerik is adding client export capabilities for PDF/Excel. App users can now export data to PDF from all professional data management widgets, and to Excel from the grid.
Additionally, Telerik is releasing a number of significant updates to existing Kendo UI components, such as:
- Drawing engine utilization across the entire spectrum of DataViz widgets
- Multicolumn headers and save/restore settings for Grid components
- A timeline view in Scheduler
- Data editing and CRUD support for Diagram
- Resources and advanced edit forms for Gantt
- Theme inspired by Android Material Design
“Our community of more than 1.4 million developers consists of innovators in app development, always working to push the envelope in creating the most robust, inventive apps possible,” said Aaron Mahimainathan, Chief Product Officer, Telerik. “Most enterprise apps require data from sources residing across a myriad of backend systems. With the latest release of the Telerik Kendo UI suite, developers can perform complex data manipulation scenarios, regardless of device, both on- and offline. Speed and flexibility is something our developer community expects from Telerik, and the flexibility of Kendo UI suite expands the world of app development.”
