Verivo Software, the enterprise mobility company, today announced the release of Verivo Akula 1.5. Following on their commitment to work with and listen to the needs of the enterprise, today’s release is focused on expanding support to a wider range of mobile devices, increasing the level of data security associated with apps built on Akula, and enhancing the control that app owners have over policy and property management after deployment.
“This release is focused on enabling true cross-device app support through the delivery of a platform that powers apps that run on all of today’s leading devices.”
With this new release, businesses are granted the out-of-the-box ability to build, secure and control enterprise-grade apps designed to run on Windows-based mobile phones, tablets and computers. Windows 8 support joins already supported iOS and Android, as well as Akula’s support for HTML5 and hybrid app development. Akula Version 1.5 also delivers full on-device encryption for apps built using Akula Cordova for iOS and Android, as well as an enhanced caching service, a ready-to-use sync and login rules, and other features and certifications.
“We see, first hand, the diversity of devices being used within the enterprise,” said Marc Rosenbaum, director of product marketing, Verivo Software. “This release is focused on enabling true cross-device app support through the delivery of a platform that powers apps that run on all of today’s leading devices.”
