The Linker took his high-school-senior daughter on a tour of New York’s Binghamton University this past weekend, and has one suggestion for admissions officials: STOP IT! It was snowing and below freezing as we walked from building to building on campus, and while The Linker is sure this did not adversely impact the potential students, he IS certain that every parent on that tour was talking his/her child out of attending during the long drive home from the middle of nowhere. Upstate New York schools should limit their tours to the fall and spring… win the parents, and you win the student! Just sayin’…
