The highlights of the release are focused around the Xamarin platform, and include a set of extensions, three new controls (Barcode, RangeSlider, and BusyIndicator), and highly-requested zooming and selection features for Xamarin charts. Developers working with the Essential Studio for Xamarin will also benefit from the new DataGrid control for Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS, which supports features such as dynamic data rendering, row height customization, and conditional formatting.
“Xamarin is quickly becoming the platform of choice for building native mobile applications. The ease of programming in C# combined with powerful tooling makes this a really great choice for enterprise development,” said Daniel Jebaraj, vice president of Syncfusion. “We’ve taken our commitment to this platform to even greater heights with Volume 1. Our customers will have access to additional controls and features that make it easier than ever to write mobile applications for any platform. We’re also confident that they will enjoy our all-new library for reading and writing PowerPoint files, as well as a rendering feature that will allow them to render slides within their managed application on Windows and the web.”
