Google is pushing development hard ahead of its rumored early 2014 consumer launch of Google Glass.
It is approaching developers on two fronts. On top of releasing the Glass Development Kit at New York and San Francisco hackathons last week to those developers who preordered the Explorer Edition, this weekend the company also turned loose a Glass Mirror API to get the rest of the developer population in on the action.

The cloud-based Mirror API allows developers to build Web-based Glassware apps and services that manage timeline cards (the content displayed to users), work with user location, interact with menu items, or send users notifications.
Glass developer programs engineer Jenny Murphy announced the release on her Google+ page, adding that Google has officially removed the longstanding whitelist for the Mirror API, opening it up to all.
