SharePoint migration software company Metalogix Software released this week at Microsoft TechEd a version of its tool for content contained in blogs and wikis. The tool is designed to help organizations move that content into SharePoint 2007 or 2010.
Among the platforms supported in the new tool are Atlassian Confluence, MediaWiki, Google Blogger, WordPress and more, as well as any blogging site that supports MetaWeblog API, RSS or ATOM, according to the company.
This new capability gives Metalogix customers the ability to pull information from ECM systems, websites, public folders, files and now social media sites into a SharePoint implementation, easing the means to manage this disparate content, the company said in a statement announcing the new tool.
