MetaVis last week released a new file manager for bidirectional migration of content to and from file shares to SharePoint.
File Manager for SharePoint, broken out from the MetaVis Migrator solution, helps users move their content and folder structures off SharePoint while retaining the metadata, according to a company announcement. The agentless solution supports Managed Metadata, the company said.
File Manager for SharePoint was created for customers who needed the ability to move content between SharePoint and file shares, but who don’t need the full functionality of Migrator, which offers the ability to migrate content from Microsoft applications such as Exchange or Outlook to SharePoint, according to the company.
