Quest Software yesterday announced that it has updated its ActiveRoles Quick Connect component to bring automated access management into Microsoft SharePoint and SAP.
ActiveRoles Quick Connect is a central component in Quest’s One Identity Solution and enables users to synchronize the solution’s identity, password and access management capabilities with SharePoint.
The Quick Connect integration with SharePoint enables IT administrators to bring “rogue” SharePoint sites that contain sensitive corporate data in line with the organization’s managed sites through an integration with Active Directory.
Further, according to the company, Quick Connect enables administrators to provision user access on the fly, and it offers SharePoint site owners the ability to review access certifications. The software sells for US$10 per enabled user.
Quick Connect also gives IT the ability to synchronize passwords between Active Directory and other connected systems with a “capture agent” that tracks changes to user passwords in Active Directory.
